May/June Newsletter

From The Teacher
We will be having a mother/son arcade night on May 4th. More information to come.

We should have ducks hatching during the second week of May, we are looking forward to this!

There is no school on May 28th in honor of Memorial Day.

On May 29th our class will be going to Binder Park Zoo. The permission slip is attached containing all details. Students are $15.25, and any chaperone will be $17.25.

On June 5th, we will be going to the education day for the Growlers. We will be doing stem activities before the game begins! This is $9 per person.

On the last day of school, June 14th, we have field day. This is a full day and is non-uniform.

A summer homework packet will be going home at the end of the year. This is not required, but there will be homework checkpoints throughout the summer. Any student that brings their homework packet with completed work will receive a prize!

Learning Targets
As the end of the year is approaching, we will be working on writing papers. This will require some intensive research. It will also allow them to work on their writing skills, which become more important as they advance in school.

Things to Practice at Home
Throughout the rest of the school year, and into summer break, please work with your child on long division, fractions, converting between fractions, decimals, and percentages, and any other math skill they need extra assistance in. Thank you for a wonderful year! Don’t forget to read!
