First Grade – Holbert

May/June Newsletter

We had an amazing April.  Students showed off all they learned during NWEA Reading and Math testing.  WOW, what smarties!  We will still be learning a lot during the next few months.

Please check folders EVERYDAY  Reminders, important notes, homework and your child’s work is all tucked inside!

Uniform Policy
Please take a moment to review the uniform policy for school. Sweatshirts, sweatpants and hoodies are NOT allowed to be worn in class.  Navy or gray fleeces or sweaters are permitted.  Please be certain that a white collared shirt or a turtleneck shirt is worn underneath any dress, sweater or fleece.  Navy shorts, pants/slacks and skirts are the only option for bottoms.

Outdoor Wear
Students should bring a jacket or coat daily. We will go outside every day, weather permitting.

Daily attendance is still critical as the school year winds down.  We will be learning right up until the last week of school with a fun afternoon planned on the last day of school with some outdoor activities.

I will continue sending homework to students who need review on material or did not complete work in the given class time. I know you are all busy at home but please try to work with your child on these assignments.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
