March is reading month! We have lots of activities planned for your student during this month, both in class and at home. We encourage parents to read nightly with their child.
We will also be focusing a lot of our time practicing for the NWEA test. We will be consistently working on paragraph formation, reports and research, and catching up with our objectives.
Our classroom focus for this month is responsibility. Please reinforce with your child the importance of personal responsibility.
Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”
- John Dewey
Book of the Month!!
We are reading Charlotte’s Web. As we wrap up the amazing read-aloud, we will be able to compare and contrast the movie, the play, and the book. The students seem very interested in the relationships among the characters!
Please practice your math facts! We will be doing timed tests each Tuesday and Thursday.
Individual spelling pre-tests will be each Thursday, and spelling tests will be given each Friday. Spelling 35 is mandatory. We encourage students to do more than 35 points for additional practice on their spelling tests. Treats will be supplied for each student if everyone can score 100%! Let’s do it!!
