3rd Grade – Lemley

May Newsletter

Wow, it’s hard to believe that the school year is about to end.  We have made many great memories this year in the third grade and are setting our sights on fourth.

Please make sure you are working with your student daily to master their multiplication facts.  This is a very important building block for all further math concepts, and it is essential to have them memorized by the end of third grade.

We will be completing our NWEA testing this month, as well as taking the M-Step, which stands for Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress.  We encourage all students to come to school every day well-rested and ready to do their best.  A large part of the M- Step is done online and requires students to write out short answers to questions.  Therefore, being familiar with the keyboard has been one of our technology objectives this year.

The last few weeks of May and June will be used to cover any objectives not yet covered, as well as lots of review.  This will allow students lots of practice and review of the third grade curriculum and assure readiness for the fourth grade.
